Plan the steps

Group fields by theme: identity, details, attachments, confirmation. Aim for three to five steps.

Create pages in the builder

Add a page per step and drag the relevant questions into it.

Name each step

Give steps short titles so the progress indicator communicates how much is left.

Add validation per step

Respondents cannot continue until required fields on the current step are valid, which prevents messy data.

Enable save and continue

Turn on progress saving so long applications can be finished later from the same device or link.

Design the confirmation step

Show a review summary and a clear success message with next steps or a reference number.
